My name is Todd and I started this company as a result of my experiences as a long time musician and member of the metal community.
I've been a drummer for 24 years; a metal drummer since 1986. I've been into metal since I first heard Black Sabbath when I was a kid. You put that together and there won't be any questions why I was in bands like Prime Evil and Dissolve. Both were great bands and had a lot of talent, and one thing we could never do was afford to have a professional video made for our music.
I know how hard it is to make it in music, and I know how hard you have to work to gain fans and, hopefully, impress the record labels. One of my frustrations was that experienced videography services, knowledgeable about our brand of music, were not accessible to guys like us. Big time video houses charged a lot of money and rarely offered underground bands flexible pricing options that fit the budget. Everyone in the band had to pitch in, out of their own pockets, because no one but us would pay for that kind of extravagance while we were playing the club circuit.
These days a good video is not an extravagance, it is a necessity. Witness the rebirth of MTV2(TM)'s Headbangers Ball © and FUSE(TM) TV's Uranium © and you'll see that music video is the #1 vehicle to publicize your band. Nowadays it is essential to shop your band like there is no tomorrow and a big part of the whole package is the promo video or Electronic Press Kit (EPK).
My goal is to help bands get over the cost hurdle by providing professional videography at affordable prices. Of course you could have your friend or your brother shoot your video, but it will probably look like your friend or you brother shot it. In other words: UNPROFESSIONAL.
With Evil Eye Productions we possess the background, the experience, and the equipment to create a complete video identity that will work within your budget to promote your band the way you want to be promoted.
